TOMCAT ANT & COCKROACH ATTRACTANT-BASED GLUE TRAPS
TOMCAT Ant Glue Trap and TOMCAT Cockroach Glue Trap are the ideal solution to non-poison insect control in homes. These attractant-based glue traps utilize TOMCAT’s Coax & Catch Technology in which specially developed attractants are placed between bands of high-strength glue. Each trap incorporates features that have been carefully tested to maximize capture. Non-Toxic TOMCAT Glue Traps are ideal to use when pesticides are undesirable or inappropriate. Special release paper protects the glue until the trap is used. Traps are perforated for easy separation.

Insect Information
COCKROACHES
- The most common cockroach pest in the U.S. is the German cockroach. This is a relatively small cockroach (adults are approximately 1/2 - 5/8 “ long) that prefers to live in kitchens and bathrooms because of availability of food and water.

- Reducing the amount of food and clutter can’t eliminate a cockroach infestation but can help limit it and can increase the effectiveness of treatments.
- Cockroaches are gregarious. They live together in groups but don’t particularly co-operate with each other and, in fact, will eat each other if no better food is available.
- Cockroaches eat a wide variety of food including the glue from the back of stamps.
HOUSEHOLD ANTS- Most often, ants live outdoors but they will come into houses in search of food and/or water. You will often find them in kitchens, near sinks and on window sills (where flies and other insects are attracted to the light and then die).
- "Scout" ants, that are seldom seen, look for food. Once they find food, they will lay a chemical or pheromone trail back to the nest to guide other ants to the food. By capturing the scout ants, you will minimize future problems since they will not be able to "recruit" new ants to that area of your home.
- Ants on the chemical trail will follow that trail. Once you have identified areas of activity, wipe the surfaces clean to remove any pheromone trail.
- While many ant species are not pests, there are over two dozen pest ant species in the U.S. These ants differ in their behavior and, even within a species, behavior can vary depending on time of year and location. That’s why it’s probably impossible to control all ants all of the time in all places with any single product.
FIRE ANTS- The main pest fire ant in the U.S. is the Red Imported Fire Ant, a native of South America that was accidentally introduced into the U.S. in the 1930s and which has since spread throughout the Southeastern U.S. into Texas and now California.
- There are two forms of Red Imported Fire Ant in the U.S. One form has many queens in each colony and colonies are very close together. The other form has a single queen and colonies are spaced further apart in independent territories.
- Fire ants nest in the soil and make mounds which provide a warmer place to raise their young in the cool of spring.
- Fire ants can abandon their nest mound and move to another location nearby if disturbed or incompletely treated with insecticide.

Product Use Tips
TIPS FOR USING GLUE BOARDS
- Place glue boards as near as possible to entry points so that scout ants can be caught. Capturing these scout ants will minimize future problems since they will not be able to "recruit" new ants to that area of your home.
- If ants are following a trail to a food source, clean up the food and wipe away the pheromone trail that ants are following. Then place glue traps. TOMCAT Glue Traps' special attractants will draw ants to the trap and capture them.
- Common areas of ant activity in the home are kitchens, near sinks and on window sills (where flies and other insects are attracted to the light and then die).
