  • Baits work because they kill the entire colony – the queen, young ants and other worker ants.
  • Here’s how it works: Ants are social insects. The ants you see are scout ants in search of food for the colony. When they encounter the bait, they will carry it back to the ant mound to share with other ants, including the queen and young ants.
  • Once the bait is delivered and eaten, the active ingredient is distributed among ants of all life stages in the nest, killing the entire colony.
  • Other “contact” methods only attack the scout ants on the surface. With bait, the entire colony, including thousands of ants that rarely or never leave the nest, are wiped out!
